Replacing Pinlock pins on HJC, KBC, Arai Helmets

NOTE: USE ONLY IN COMBINATION WITH A PINLOCK PREPARED FACE SHIELD.

Step 1: Remove the shield from the helmet. Note: Pinlock requires a Pinlock-prepared shield (a shield that has Pinlock pins installed). Installing the Pinlock lens requires removal of the shield from the helmet. Follow the helmet instructions for removing your shield.

Step 2. Remove the Pinlock lens from the shield. Step 2a. Remove the pins from the shield Push the old pins out of the shield with a plastic object.

Step 3. Fit new pins Take two replacement pins and fit into both holes of the shield with the axis at the widest point.
Using a coin, push down on the top of the pin until it clicks into place.

Step 4. Replace the lens Press the outer visor until it is flat and click the Pinlock® lens into position.
Step 5. Replace the shield Allow the outer visor to return to its curved shape and inspect the lens to make sure that it is fitting tightly against the shield. Fit the shield back on the helmet.
